Risking his life in order to save others is second nature to a Uitenhage firefighter who “lives and breathes” his passion for helping people.
Mlungiselelo Ciko, 40, is one the finalists in the Centrum Guardian Project which recognises acts of courage and selflessness.
Sixty-four emergency workers were nominated by their colleagues countrywide. Ciko is one of the five finalists.
The winner will be announced in December. Ciko will feature on SABC 3’s talk show 3Talk tomorrow afternoon.
